Fabulous! This is the method I will be using for all roast chickens in the future. And I have a feeling there will be a whole lot of them in this house. Thanks Dorie!
Ha ha, i baked this on 30th oct and have had requests ever since, for the same roast chicken!! Did u add the wine? i did and my bread didn crisp as some did!
I did add the wine with the oil. The bread turned out crispy on the bottom and pretty mushy on top. We still ate a good portion of it (with the roasted garlic smashed on top as my chicken had no liver with it).
Looks delicious! (for lunch or anytime!) I've never tried Dorie's bread technique- I can't wait!
